313: data system, Site all, Tue 29-May-2007 20:21:19 PDT, change pocketecs in hfarray and east
hfarray and east were changed out today during the array narrowing. These
were at fairly high disk fill status. Ptec#5 came out of 'east' (replaced by
#6).Ptec#11 came out of hfarray (replaced #1).

264: data system, Site horizontal array, Sat 19-May-2007 11:18:31 PDT, West pocketec 15 May
The pocketec disk at west started to report disk errors when
reading archive files for April 10th, as part of the background
rsync download.

The disk was swapped and mounted on the aster laptop, on May 15.

rsync-ing these 5 files to isff1 resulted in hard disk errors;

west_20070410_120000.dat
west_20070411_000000.dat
west_20070412_000000.dat
west_20070412_120000.dat
west_20070414_120000.dat

All other files on the pocketec, up to May 15 were ok, and
copied to isff1.

After the initial rsync, then an fsck was performed on the disk
with the non-destructible, read-write, bad block scanning option:

fsck -f -c -c /dev/sdc1

This creates a badblock list and re-maps the files to good blocks.

As a result the above 5 files on the pocketec
were then readable without errors and the 5 files were rsync-'d
to isff1 again.

The fixed files exhibit far fewer bad-sample errors when read
with data_stats than the original rsync'd ones. It appears
that the portions of the files with bad blocks were replaced
with 0's.
250: data system, Site 30m tower, Thu 17-May-2007 20:24:56 PDT, hftower pocketec exchanged ... again
After getting the hftower pocketec (#6) up at ~1630, Gordon noticed it was down
a couple hours later. Winds were good so we went out at sunset and exchanged
it with ptec#7.

We did adn and halt before heading for the tower.
At the tower we exchanged 6 for 7 and then powered up.
Ptec writes failed.
We did adn then aup and it came up and started writing at 201152 LT 17 May.
Same pathology as this afternoon.

234: data system, Site horizontal array, Tue 15-May-2007 12:15:52 PDT, West Pocketec swapped
15may07 10:55 - 11:05 West adam

Swapped pocketec
removed #1
installed #2

Note: overnight the pocketec appeared to have had some outages, although
it was still mounted and being written to. A 'adn' took down the daq
normally, and an 'aup' brought it back normally after installing #2.

224: data system, Site 30m tower, Mon 14-May-2007 17:05:13 PDT, CPC ingest started, lower down for ~20 min
The .xml was uploaded and pushed to Lower for ingest by Gordon between
1902 and 1919UTC. Ingest began at 191857 officially.

The CPC box was installed 12may07 between 13-13.5m

need to measure exact height yet.

The tube is laid at the 14 m sonic and data is taken at 10Hz.

Dimensions:
	Intake = 15cm below top of 14m sonic-boom
Box dimen. = 25cm out from, 33cm parallel to south leg of tower.
Box top is 52cm and bottom is 83cm below top of 14m sonic-boom.
Note the is a very bright polished alum. box sitting above
	radiometers.

Installed newly built cable for CPC Aerosol.
Plugged into lower /dev/ttyS10.

175: data system, Site horizontal array, Wed 25-Apr-2007 10:40:16 MDT, lost data on April 23
There is a data gap at both east and west adams on april 23, 20:50 - 22:55 PDT
or 03:50 - 05:55 GMT, April 24. This corresponds to a short raw data file:

r--r--r-- 1 aster users 593495734 Apr 24 01:00 isff_20070424_040000.dat
135: data system, Site horizontal array, Tue 10-Apr-2007 23:14:26 PDT, east hung
data_stats showed that the Emereald channels on east had died. This is a first
for this data system. It came back up with aup, but I first had to manually
kill dsm processes -- adn didn't work for some reason.

133: data system, Site horizontal array, Tue 10-Apr-2007 16:53:55 PDT, gps on east/west now locked
Gordon noticed that when we moved the boxes down on central, we blocked the
field of view of the GPSs on east and west. The GPS receivers were moved
onto one of the booms at about 1515 today. We now have GPS lock again.

117: data system, Site 30m tower, Sun 08-Apr-2007 18:17:41 PDT, Power Board on Viper Data System Replaced
While examining the inside of the Viper Data System on the 30 meter tower, I noticed that the connector on the power board of the PC104 stack had a broken solder connection. The power board from the spare PC104 stack was used to replace it.
