29: sled-4, Site 4, Sat 11-Oct-1997 06:22:41 GMT, Sled-4 vent insulation removed
See status note from 10/10 and TEG notes.
The internal insulation covering the vent adjacent to the TEG
was removed to help prevent overheating and improve TEG performance.
Before winter this will need to be covered again probably.

NOTE, the vents will need to be uncovered sooner in spring than
anticipated, and more venting may be needed.

357: sled-4, Site 4, Sat 04-Apr-1998 21:09:04 AKST, Florida sled venting changed
Sa. 4/4 19:30 AKST or 4/5 4:30 UTC
Added passive weather-head lid vent to Florida sled.
Louvered vent still uncovered.

Su. 4/5 10:30 AKDT
Added heat motor shutter to open/close lid vent.

410: sled-4, Site 4, Sun 19-Apr-1998 21:38:49 AKDT, Wind Gen. Added to Fla
4/19 22:15-Z
	Installed wind generator on Fla.
Egads for some reason the thing now seems to want to work.
It had been on auto brake for several days (including
when the wind was too low) after rewiring it the correct way.

Icharge/Iload hosed by the ground loop/noise, but the
generator is running the station and charging the batt.

411: sled-4, Site 4, Mon 20-Apr-1998 21:35:37 AKDT, Florida moved slightly North of old location
4/20 ~19Z to 4/21 ~0Z

The Florida station was moved roughly 200-m north (rough estimate)
of the old location just outside the met hut. The new site is on top
of a hummock with ice underneath that is supposed to be 6-m or so thick.
This is a low, and older pressure ridge that we hope may hold together.
As a result, no ablation shield was put under this system.
It should still be close enough for training and system checkout, but
out far enough to provide better exposure.

The Wind Generator was removed from Florida and will be moved to Atlanta
when conditions permit.
