Launch time delayed by 30 minutes due to earlier problems. Including previous
two sondes not collecting any wind data, glass software having issues and 
needing to be reloaded, and one balloon popping just after launch. After 
getting this one in flight, it temporarily stopped collecting data between
640-616mb. Then at again 601(but for a shorter period this time). Otherwise,

Sonde not getting wind data.  Although the no. of GPS tracked by sonde and ground remain over 4.  Balloon popped just after launch at about 20 m AGL. Sonde

It seems we are running into some sort of interference on 
a regular basis with the sondes. The signal turns into a
sort of buzzing noise and the raw data and 10s data stop
updating for 30 secs or so. This seems to occur most often
above 500 mb, but not always. The signal then returns and
all the data begin updating again. Usually this only happens
once per flight.

Needed to change signal to 405.9 MHz because reference sonde was also launched simoutaneously, using 300g balloon.  Terminated early

Lou came in this afternoon to replace the pre-amp of the souding system and
did a test flight. The signal was 88 dB before launch, which is a few dBs 
higher. When the flight reached 100mb, the signal strength still has
40dB, which is much higher than the old pre-amp.

The sonde hit the ground when it took off due to the gusty (~15 m/s).
Helium is 34 ft^3, it might need a little more next time when gusty occurs.
The raw pressure showed increasing with height around 580mb for tens of seconds.
It might be caught by some downdraft. doesn't look like the sonde having probelm
caused by the touch-down when it was released.

poor flight, rather gusty, balloon struggled to lift because it was not inflatedcorrectly, as a result of this, sonde hit ground during lift.  Wind data was sporadic and is skeptical.  However, 10 s data seems to be working.

Rather windy and gusty,thick dust and cloud accumalation.  The ten second data has the incorrect pressure measure and altitude reading

Attempted sounding at 3UT (10PM Local).

Attempted to launch sounding at 9:30pm in support of Raman calibration.

Error reported in GLASS Labview software:  Sending coef failed!!!

Retried numerous times, rebooted 4 times, reloaded software
from distribution disk, tried the original coefts disks
and a backup coefts disks, tried a second sonde, 
checked cables in back to serial port and expander box,
tried to diagnose problems over the phone to Ned and Mike, 
and even entered the coeffts manually.

Nothing worked so abandoned attempt after an hour.
Time to go home!
