241: radiation, Site 9, Tue 08-Aug-2006 15:09:36 MST, net radiometer cleaned
Clened the net radiometer sometime during the visit today, Aug 8
between 10;45 and 11:15. The unit has a small dimple in the dome.

240: rain, Site 9, Tue 08-Aug-2006 15:04:22 MST, Rain gauge tilted, Aug 8
Rain gauge at this site was tilted about 10 to 15 degrees.
Probably nudged by a cow.

There was rain measured at this site yesterday, Aug 7, so
perhaps the tilt was not enough so that water spilled
from the tipper.

Tested gauge with 2 tips, at 11:10, Aug 8.

239: LOG, Site 9, Tue 08-Aug-2006 14:56:59 MST, Station visit, site 9, Aug 8
Routine site visit. Arrived 10:45 MST. Oncley, Maclean.

Visitor: Susanne Grossman-Clarke from ASU.

Installed new software, but ntpq was not installed due to script
goofup.

Top wire of electric fence was largely off the posts - cows have
frequented this site, but no damage other than a tilted rain gauge.

Guyed corner posts of fence. Swapped e-fence battery, voltage was
11.7V. New battery: 12.6V.

Cleaned net radiometer. Small dimple in dome.

2 test tips of rain gauge.

Swapped usbdisk.

This is data box #12, goes model 120.

Left 11:15.

180: rain, Site 9, Tue 25-Jul-2006 17:59:21 MDT, Station visit site 9: rain tip
Inspected rain gauge: no varmints
Recorded one tip for test.

178: radiation, Site 9, Tue 25-Jul-2006 17:57:43 MDT, Station visit site 9: cleaned net radiometer
Cleaned net radiometer; found domes clean and level
177: GOES, Site 9, Tue 25-Jul-2006 17:55:12 MDT, Station visit site 9: data system, GOES, fence
Visited station 9 15:20 - 15:33 MST

Swapped USB disk
Taped GOES cooler; no moisture in cooler
Model 120 GOES transmitter

Repaired and tightened fence; charger okay.

143: data-system, Site 9, Wed 19-Jul-2006 17:03:01 MDT, St 9 Visit: GOES outage
19Jul06 14:10-14:45

Purpose: Station reporting was intermittent and then down last night/today

Upon arrival:
Station power OK
DAQ OK
usbstick OK, data was being archived.
GOES down.
No obvious reason in messages or adam.log
	See adam/message logs in:
	/data/projects/Cupido/logs/st9_071906_xxx.log

Reinstalled software
	Just for giggles.
Did see the 'memory error' that I've seen before when doing this,
even though Gordon reports that shouldn't be a problem.
usbstick swapped

Rebooted: everything went ok and reporting started right up without
any problem, or needing power cycle, etc.

Note:	Did observe data_stats 'late message received' error after the
reboot. Perhaps that had something to do with it.

116: LOG, Site 9, Sat 15-Jul-2006 18:01:11 MDT, St 9: Site maintenance and electric fence install
Site visit: 1432 - 1605

The net radiometer was cleaned between 1433 - and 1438.
PVC was inserted into the GOES cooler box to allow heat to escape.
An electric fence was installed.
The precip gauge was checked.
76: radiation, Site 9, Sat 08-Jul-2006 16:22:29 MDT, st9 Visit: Rnet leveled
8Jul06, 12:10-12:20

Purpose: Show Greg where it is,

Leveled Rnet, lifted the logger box off the ground (it was not hot because it is painted white). We also lifted the GOES xmitter off the bottom of the cooler.

Cows here now!!!

Yet another site that should have been fenced but the 'authorities'
hadn't told us. Later. I'm still thinking the risk is mostly to
the rain gauge because otherwise there is plenty of vegetation in the
area for cows to use for scratching. Same situation at 1 and 2

43: data-system, Site 9, Wed 05-Jul-2006 18:19:53 MDT, st9 visit: goes power level

42: prop-vane, Site 9, Wed 05-Jul-2006 18:18:08 MDT, st9 visit: boom angle
5jul06 11:30-12:30

my compass = 251
rmy 'BD' = 249
i did not change the internal rmy value

41: data-system, Site 9, Wed 05-Jul-2006 18:14:20 MDT, st9 visit: new software
