There is a long list of tasks which are done at the completion of a field project. This chapter only includes those relevant to the ISS workstation and which may not be noted already in other documents.

Archiving Files to the Jaz Disk

At the end of the project, various files must be copied from the profiler and sounding computers onto the Jaz data disk on the ISS workstation. This is done most easily by using the jaz directory service provided the Samba server on the ISS workstation. The section Accessing the Jaz Drive from Windows contains instructions for connecting to the jaz service from a Windows machine.

Once the Jaz folder has been connected and opened, files can be copied into it just like any other Windows folder. Files copied into the folder are written directly to the disk in the Jaz drive on the ISS workstation.
