Prev | Chapter 3. Operations for the End of a Project | Next |
As mentioned in the section The Archiver Tool, in the chapter Normal Operations, the Archiver has a Finish button to complete archiving and exit the Archiver program. For projects for which the very last day of recorded data is not needed, there is no useful difference between using the Finish button and the Write Now button, other than the former exits the Archiver and ejects the Jaz disk. Just to be safe, though, it is a good idea to let the Archiver complete the archive by pressing Finish. If nothing else, the Archiver will attempt to write the most recent data files to the Jaz disk. If that does not succeed, it may indicate errors which have prevented earlier and more important data from being archived, which is a serious problem.
