Gordon and I went to Atlanta this morning to replace the
propane tanks, download a new config, and replace the ram
disk. We tryed cleaning the sonic but it did not help.
The propane bottles were weighed when we got back. One
was 40 lbs the other was about 30 lbs.

80: propane, Site 3, Sat 25-Oct-1997 21:32:21 GMT, Propane bottles changed at station 3
The propane was changed about an hour ago. The TEG kicked
on after about 2 minutes. It took awhile for the system to
get fully operating. At one time there was a yellow flame
down in the exhaust. If the bottles were full on installation
then the typical operating period is about 12 days max.

Ed went with us and decided that the site was still good
even with the new airport out there.

84: propane, Site 2, Mon 27-Oct-1997 01:42:12 GMT, visit to station 2, Cleveland
Went to station 2 today to work on the Tdomes, download the
new config, and change propane bottles.

Propane: We tried turning off both used bottles before switching
to the new ones. There was not enough propane left in the line and
the TEG went down. After putting the new bottles on the TEG started again
in about 2 minutes. The whole procedure took lest then 10 minutes.

Tdomes: Measured the voltage output on the Tdomes. They were higher
than expected so we put in the original logger box. The Tdomes came
back to normal readings.

The new config to correct the spiking on TRH was downloaded and the
TRH was reprogammed for interactive continuous mode.

103: propane, Site 4, Thu 30-Oct-1997 06:45:56 AKST, Station 4 (Florida) probably ran out of propane.
0300 AKST Florida TEG voltage started dropping steadily to 0V.
TEG/EVE box temperature dropped steadily over 3 hours to 0C.

Ed and Scott visited Atlanta for a routine propane swap.
All went well. We also swapped Flash cards.
Rocky's monitor became impossible to read in a very short time.
The sled is unlevel and hence the wind generator appears to work
only during strong winds. It is tilted so the heavy front end points
down and it take strong winds to overcome this tilt and spin it.

It appears that within a week or two, enough of the path to Atlanta
will be frozen that it can be removed with a snow machine.

Atlanta`s compass is pointing at 319 degrees magnetic.

Bear tracks all around the station, including right under the radiometers.
Evidently the same bear that visited Maui 3 days ago visited here first.
