On this flight also losing signal early 2 db at 400 mb this time I'm pretty certain that sonde is being taken behind the hills before it is high enough. An ascent rate has been around 1.5 ms for several minutes even put 37 cubic feet in it this time but wind speeds are around 50ms. 10 second data locked up at 494 mb raw data coming in is up to 360mb

lost first launch negative ascent rates
Attempted 2 sondes from a different box of 10 but from same batch both gave bad ptu eg one gave -278 c and the other 226 have to check the whole box.
this sounding also went through a period of slow ascent and no winds to about 700mb .Suspect very strong winds bouncing sonde around. Winds still intermitant.

Ground receiver had 10 GPS satellites before launch and for start of
ascent. Sonde lost lock on launch, eventually regained 4 sondes, but
then ground receiver has 0 sondes for the rest of the ascent. So:
NO WINDS THIS FLIGHT. Mike suggests rebooting PC and cycling power on
rack before each launch.
