I've plotted wind direction as a function of time of day for the top prop
for Tom to use in SGS. At night, it is about 290 degrees, during the day
about 340 degrees, with some days a shift to 030 degrees in the afternoon.
The 1.7m prop data are similar, though with more scatter.
111: props, Site stn8_cosmos, Wed 16-Aug-2000 15:45:59 PDT, direction of 1.7m prop reset
Steve S just used the alignment tool and I reset the boom alignment here about
2 min ago. An edited version of the rserial session is appended below.
Note the change of direction from 710 to 0, which will have to be included
in the cal_file. Also note that this unit (#3) was supposed to have been
set up correctly in the lab, and may have a collar slippage problem.
The problem started on Aug 11 at ~19:00 local.

134: props, Site stn8_cosmos, Thu 24-Aug-2000 12:06:02 PDT, profiles dropped
Both the T/RH and Prop profiles were torn down over the last 2 hours.
In the process, the breezecom antenna was moved, which stopped ingest
for cosmos. I've just revived this by mxreset, but we lost 2 hours of
data.
This is the first stage of tear-down. By now, most of the Swiss instruments
are down, and the Dutch pulled stuff off yesterday. The profile at s7
also is being removed.
