We set up networking using the 3c589B on (one of?) Heping's laptop, but
Microsoft networking didn't work.

Thus, just use ftp:
[open MSDos window]
cd ..
cd pc208w
ftp 192.168.80.58 [clover]

cd /home/aster/projects/EBEX00/raw_data/heping

Summary of TU Dresden measurements at Swiss-Site (see also Vogt and Christen)

Data sampling from the Campbell logger was done at every field trip, data are almost continuous from July 31 to today

July 30, 2000	instruments added to station 9
METEK USA1, LICOR 7500 (open path) at 6m above the ridge
(tower B, above Solent R2), additional miscallaneous
		(TCs, HMP35)
Data transfer to Swiss computer (raw data 20 Hz)
		Fluxes on-line via CSI CR10X (8 Hz)
METEK running, but produces 'invalid data
		CR10X started on PST
		LICOR values mV=mmol/m3
July 31, 2000	METEK path lengths measured at tower (roughly with ruler),
data o.k., temperature about 6 C too low, uvw evt. also affected
no re-calibration done, should be corrceted later
19.40 PST time changed to 2.40 GMT
August 1, 2000	several tests performed with METEK for band-filter (esp. 40 Hz
measurements), not succeeded returned to 20 Hz raw data
		21,48 GMT: LICOR chnaged to mmol CO2/m3 = 15/5000 mV + 10, mmol H2O/m3 = 1/5 mV + 250 (same as Foken)
August 2, 2000	Campbell logger connected to 12V DC (was running on back-up batt eries only), power down at 17.30 GMT
August 3, 2000	o.k.
August 4, 2000	o.k.
August 5, 2000	o.k.
August 7, 2000	o.k.
August 9, 2000	o.k.
August 10, 2000	o.k., common effort to measure canopy height across field
		(see Vogt)
August 11, 2000 o.k.,
18.15 GMT :LICOR cleaned (window indicator went down from 62
		to 59%)

94: other, Site stn8_cosmos, Sun 13-Aug-2000 17:25:52 PDT, Intercomparison towers removed from field
The 2 pam masts and the rohn tower were removed from
the field this afternoon.

104: other, Site stn7_daisy, Tue 15-Aug-2000 15:58:38 PDT, spider
Steve Semmer encountered an interesting green spider while shooting boom
angles with the theodolite.

105: other, Site , Tue 15-Aug-2000 18:33:10 PDT, don't back up long distances
One of us just put one wheel of the pickup in the ditch after backing up
from site 8. Don't do this! (especially after spending a lot of time in
the sun). Fortunately, a Westlake truck was driving by at the time and
gave it a tug. :)
107: other, Site all, Wed 16-Aug-2000 09:02:29 PDT, Boom angles with theodolite
I spent the last 2 days shooting boom anlges with
the theodolite.

108: other, Site stn7_daisy, Wed 16-Aug-2000 11:26:33 PDT, releveled s7 10m tower
I went to s7 to do 3 things for Heping:
- clean krypton
- re-level sonic
- remove broken thermocouple

However, the tower guys were all pretty loose. They had all been staked in
the furrows (my fault) and two of the stakes could be moved. Heping and
I pulled all these stakes, repositioned them, and leveled and tensioned the
guys. The tower feels much better now. Naturally, a new tilt correction will
be needed. During this process, I also moved the safety rope so that the tower
is again climbable.

Finally, I did the above tasks for Heping. The krypton was dirty and the sonic
out of level by about 2/3 of a bubble to the north (pitched up). The bubble
is now at least 2/3 inside the circle.

114: other, Site , Thu 17-Aug-2000 17:42:50 PDT, furrow spacing
I just measured 4.78m/5 furrows = 0.956m/furrow. As I recall, they are
supposed to be 38"= 0.965m spacing, which is pretty close! (I'll use
this info to scale the high-altitude photo better.)

118: other, Site , Sat 19-Aug-2000 17:19:00 PDT, setup SGS station communication tower
A pam 10 meter tower was setup at the SGS sensor site.
A large antenna was mounted at the top.

137: other, Site , Fri 25-Aug-2000 14:33:01 PDT, bye bye
I'm leaving the site now. All rads are down and stations 1-4 are also down
I.ve just taken down all of my surface heating sites, but don't have time
to download them now. Hopefully, they'll hold their data until I do have
time!!!

It's been fun...
