Generally, this is an uninteresting log. However, it may help on those rare occasions when a user notices data drop-outs and would like to determine if there was a diagnosed, real-time system problem.
An additional log containing system technical and performance information (as opposed to the "data" information, contained here) is also available.
An attempt has been made to faithfully reproduce the essentials of the data log. In some cases, abbreviations have been expanded and/or standardized. When specific computer processors are referenced, the name of the processor has been placed in double quotes. VXworks refers to a real-time operating system running on CP4's processor.
Names like Deep1, Upslope1, and Fronts2 refer to particular sequences of volume scans. Shorter names, such as SD6, refer to a particular (single) volume scan. Scan sequences and volume information may be found in the documentation of Stossmeister, or may be inferred through inspection of scanlists produced during data tape review.
Lines are used to bracket periods of continuous radar operation.
