NCAR's Research Data Program (RDP) is charged, in part, with providing ATD data to the research community. Data are provided for the cost of copying (frequently, this cost is zero) to NSF-supported researchers, and modest fees are charged non-NSF supported researchers. Time required to fill a request is on the order of several hours to one month, depending upon current staff workload.
RDP serves as an initial contact for user requests, working with other groups within ATD to ensure that a user's needs are met. The following individuals are your best contacts for data; please contact the person listed first, and work your way down the list, if necessary. Note that in-field assignments can occasionally delay response from an individual or from the whole set of persons listed -- if you have a "rush" request, please be somewhat persistent in attempting contact, or try the ATD office.
When requesting data, please specify platform name, project name, and dates and times of data desired. For large-bandwidth datasets (such as S-Pol), it is important that requested time periods be as narrowly focused as is reasonable. Follow-up discussion will likely be needed to specify data format, parameters included in dataset, and media issues.
An updated, on-line version of this contact information is maintained at http://www.atd.ucar.edu/atd_order.html
