General Description:
- Stand alone pod system anti-iced to be able to measure 3-D wind in all conditions. The instrument, which mounts in a PMS-style canister, combines an 858 gust pod tip (used to provide sources for differential and static pressure measurements) with a CMIGITS inertial reference unit. The instrument can be installed on either the GV or C-130.
- The following photographs show two views of the instrument:
Measurement Characteristics:Same as standard radome gust probe, but lower accuracy.

- Software Components (data acquisition, display, processing, and analysis): standard nimbus
- Data Processing Chain (from flight to archival): Data processing follows the standard data path for RAF measurements: instrument -> NIDAS -> nimbus -> netCDF archives. See this page for more information.
