Instrument Description

Operational Status: requestable, ready for deployment
General Description:
Measurement Characteristics: Raw gps rangecmp data for postprocessing. Output at 1 Hz.
- Overall estimate of uncertainty: Approximately 1 cm horizontal, 10 cm vertical for aircraft position, depending on distance between aircraft and this ground station.
- Response time: 10 Hz in combination with aircraft GPS

Description of Software, Data Handling, and Data Flow: Data is logged to a laptop then processed with Novatel's 'Waypoint' software after the project is completed.
- Software Components (data acquisition, display, processing, and analysis): Novatel 'GPS Data Logger' software for recording data coming in the serial port, and Novatel 'Waypoint' software for analysis.
