--> You are now talking on #BAMEX --- Disconnected (). --> You are now talking on #IDEAS3 hey Mike - you were on channel bamex instead of ideas3 orobably oops janet knows i make that mistake all the time!!! hi ewe ground) with no response. I gather that inbound connections are not allowed/possible? --> jbj (~80755411@linus.atd.ucar.edu) has joined #IDEAS3 OK, it lost the first part of my message. That's why we're learning. what were you trying to say, stuart? I was saying, I tried connecting to the network camera from the ground.. not enough bandwidth!!! Can somebody onboard the C-130 let John Hallett know that we have tried to contact Rick Purcell to get him on a chat line to John Hallett. Rick is currently not there, but we will keep trying. you won't be able to connect to the camera because of routing issues. So inbound connections are blocked? You'd have to know what ip address hercules was connected to through the ras to get to the plane. actaully, there should be a way to do this but the connection would have to be initiated by the camera I was trying to ping or http to the camera's fixed IP address. Didn't work. Now I understand why. btw, the aircraft is known as ras82.ucar.edu (hercules) they are having some ADS problems... --> rashaw (~8ddb9b42@linus.atd.ucar.edu) has joined #IDEAS3 chris is onboard trying to help dsms are losing their connections... hi dr shaw.. this is ewe wei... --> cockpit-c130 (~ads@ras82.ucar.edu) has joined #IDEAS3 take off delayed a bit... excuse my slow typing... i might not chat with u very often who is IRCMonkey? --> dcollins (~80c26a58@linus.atd.ucar.edu) has joined #IDEAS3 dyn84-124 is IRCMonkey test from stith chris says ads problems are due to cmigits & dsm boot order hi stith hi joe v is irc monkey network onboard is VERY slow right now i mean the satcomm hard to type from cockpit, will be harder when airborne 13 people on chat -- not too bad for the maiden voyage! All the way from the ramp! Hello to all from Raymond Shaw in Michigan --- Ewe Wei and Jacob, I will keep "chat" on in the background and wait for updates as they come. The power button on the front of the computer has been known to stick in the case. I assume the UPS in on, as well as the switch on the back of the computer? <-- jpfugal has quit (Read error to jpfugal[ras82.ucar.edu]) --- DaveR is now known as DaveR-c130 --> jpfugal (~jpfugal@ras82.ucar.edu) has joined #IDEAS3 We had CPI running before taxi. When I went to check on it, the cpu was OFF. Unable to power it up again. stuart the OAT is still about 7 degrees too warm The front cpu power button is sticky. Several people gave it the finger treatment without success. I'll go dink with it some more -- we thought maybe it quit because cabin was too hot. Dave, you mean the cpu just lost power on its own? That would be unusual. Is the UPS plugged in? Maybe it was running on battery power until then. <-- jpfugal has quit (Ping timeout) --> jpfugal (~jpfugal@ras82.ucar.edu) has joined #IDEAS3 yes, it plugs inthe UPS which seems to be alive (green lights). <-- jpfugal has quit (Ping timeout) Jeff, i just checked with Allen, and the newer cal factors are probably not on the aircraft data system. I didn't notice that before, since I looked at the data after it had been processed here on the ground, which does have the new numbers. OAT and ATX only differed by usually less than a degree on the RF02 data I looked at yesterday. --> ewsaw (~ewsaw@ras82.ucar.edu) has joined #IDEAS3 Dr. Shaw we have cloud particle holograms streamed to the laptop hard disk. starting reverse heading at 194353 The mirror and camera side temperatures are 30 C But we still have some condensation buildup. MAY BE THE WINDOWS ARE TOO BIG reverse heading at 194610 Dr. Shaw (JACOB) The condensation is melting finally even though the outside temperature is -21C. dr shaw r u there? Dr. Shaw (this is jacob) The laser is dying already and the condensation isn't completely melted yet. too much variation in winds during reverse track, will repeat 1k higher yes --- following the flight data on ION --- let's get what data we can and we'll discuss laser difficulties by phone when you return Dr. Shaw (jfpugal) We have an outside temperature of -22C and the wedges in the mirror and camera side are maintaining at 35 C. The heater forcing is about 60% so at least we have enough heater power now. I'm guessing the condensation is in the mirror interior. I should stick more dessicant there and be careful I install it. After the debriefing I'll check the color of the mirror side dessicant. end lots of turning going on!! <-- twohy has quit (CGI:IRC) trying to setup a cloud here --> twohy (~8075548b@linus.atd.ucar.edu) has joined #IDEAS3 tried to load the ideas3 web page from up here pretty much impossible these laptops are also not set up for typing! not to mention bumpy conditions <-- DaveR-c130 has quit (Ping timeout) <-- cockpit-c130 has quit (Ping timeout) some people getting queezy --> cockpit-c130 (~ads@ras82.ucar.edu) has joined #IDEAS3 --> DaveR-c130 (~ads@ras82.ucar.edu) has joined #IDEAS3 INFLOWC seems low.
