Summary of Daily Weather
Date Being Summarized:  21 April 1995

With a cyclone over the Great Lakes and another over the desert southwest, there
was strong west-southwesterly flow over the southern plains.  Moderate lapse 
rates were over the southern Rockies and in a narrow corridor along the Gulf
coast.  A narrow band of low-level moisture was returning inland from over
the TX Gulf coast towards a cold front coming down the Great Plains that had 
pushed well across much of OK by 00Z at the surface.

There was no deep convection over the VORTEX ops area during the day and severre
thunderstorm reports were confined to LA and OH in the rough SELS log.
