This project has the objective of installing a relatively large number (1600) of simple raingauges over several data sparse regions of Northwest and North Central Mexico to complement other data sets that will be gathered during NAME.
It also promotes the idea that the network can be improved via cooperation between the institutions involved and the general public.
The activity will serve to educate the public, especially rural agricultural and industrial groups with interests in climatology.
