INDOEX Logistic Bulletin: JOSS-Supported Travel

The INDOEX Project Office will notify you if your travel will be supported through the UCAR Joint Office for Science Support (JOSS).

If your travel will be supported through JOSS, the information listed below should be sent via e-mail to Diane Lask <lask@ucar.edu> as soon as possible. JOSS staff will make arrangements for your INDOEX related travel and send you a tentative itinerary. After you review your itinerary and the travel dates are confirmed, an airline ticket will be sent to you along with an advance payment for your lodging and per diem in the Republic of Maldives.

Narula Travels will work directly with individuals who want to arrange personal travel connected with INDOEX travel. Your INDOEX related travel will be paid by JOSS with Indian rupees. Individuals should make arrangements with Narula Travels for payment of fare differences for personnel travel. Raman Narula is the contact person for INDOEX participants; you can reach him by phone at (91) 11-332-8121, fax at (91) 11-371-3645 or e-mail <eskay.narula@axcess.net.in>.

Regulations require that rupee-paid tickets include a connecting flight in India and some schedules may require an overnight in New Delhi. For the convenience of travelers who must overnight, arrangements will be made for their lodging and meals at the Claridge Hotel which will be paid directly by JOSS. Details will be provided when your airline ticket is issued. If you must overnight in New Delhi, an Indian visa is required; an application can be downloaded from the web site at <www.indianembassy.org/>. If you need an Indian visa because of a forced overnight in New Delhi, you will be notified as soon as your flights are reserved.

The following information is needed before 6 November.

If you have questions or need clarification regarding information contained in these Bulletins, contact Ms. Diane Lask, JOSS, at (+1) 303-497-8684, lask@ucar.edu.
