INDOEX Logistic Bulletin: Airport Security Bades

This Bulletin describes the requirements and process by which badges are obtained for INDOEX participants working at Hulule in the INDOEX Operations Center complex and other facilities (aircraft, special instrumentation, etc).

1. BADGES ARE REQUIRED FOR ALL PERSONS WORKING ON THE GROUNDS OF MALE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT (Hulule Island).

2. If you need to go directly to the Operations Center in Hulule upon arrival, it is necessary to have someone with a badge meet you and escort you. Please let the JOSS Logistics staff know IN ADVANCE if this is a requirement. (Contact Diane Lask at lask@ucar.edu)

3. Visitors, or those individuals who have not yet obtained their pass, who come to the Operations Center for brief periods (a couple of days) must be escorted by a person with a badge at all times in all areas.

4. Badges may not be obtained in advance.

5. Badges are issued by the Maldives Airports Authority (MAA).

6. To obtain a pass, you will be required to buy (1.00 Rf) an application from the MAA ID Office (Ground floor, MAA Building on Hulule). The application will be filled out by the participants following guidelines to be provided by the JOSS Logistics staff.

7. It will be necessary to have an MAA official sign the application before it is processed. Therefore, once you have completed the application, please deliver it to the JOSS logistics staff in the Operations Center.

8. The participant will be required to take the signed application and passport to the MAA ID Office to have a picture taken and be issued the badge.

9. The badge must be visible on your person at all times when on Hulule Island.
