README for GLDAS_EOP1_MOLTS data files Files are organized into directories by field, and within each directory there is one data file per reference site. The files are ascii format, and each record is a single 3-hourly output value (real). Therefore there are 92 days x 8 recs/day = 736 records in each file, starting at 00Z 1 July 2001 and ending at 21Z 30 September 2001. Some coastal and island reference site points did not align with GLDAS model points. In these cases the nearest point was used, if one was available (*), however, for two island locations there was no model point in the vicinity (N/A).
