SPL Notes ------------------------------ 2011: 11-08-18 Ty picks up new HS1 in Boulder on 8/12, connected to aircoa on 8/14, HS1 valve fully opened on 8/18. 11-08-04 Site visit (BBS, SpB), swapped AIRCOA and moved to new location. 11-08-02 HS1 runs out (didn't realize it). 11-04-25 Site visit (SpB), swapped the 4 calibration gases. ------------------------------ 2010: 10-12-09 Looks like the micropump died. aircoa program stopped (SpB). 10-10-22 Site visit (SpB), reconnected HS2, did tune-up, returned 4 near-empty gas cylinders to JeffCO. 10-07-06 HS2 at 1000 psi (appears to be leaking). HS2 valve closed; AIRCOA still running with 3 cal gases. 10-06-22 Ian swapped the four cal gas cylinder (LT at 750 psi). 10-03-24 Site visit (SpB), fixed two "major" leaks (check valve replaced & loose ferrule on tee off sampling manifold). Also fixed loose nafion connection (which is why sample flow was so low). Transported four new cal gas cylinders to the site. 10-02-03 Ian swapped in a replacement LI-820. AIRCOA up and running. ------------------------------ 2009: 09-09-21 LiCor failed. 09-06-03 Memory stick filled up - cleared and rebooted same day. 09-04-25 Memory stick filled up on 09-04-25. Communication down due to bora IP change. Cleared and rebooted on 09-05-01 (SpB). 09-04-05 Ian replaced 4 cylinders. 09-03-26 HS2 ran out. 09-03-23 LS2 ran out. 09-03-16 LS1 ran out. 09-03-04 Memory stick filled up. Cleared and rebooted on 09-03-06. 09-02-08 HS1 ran out. ------------------------------ 2008: 08-11-26 Ian installed micropump. Restarted program. 08-09-24 Stopped program 08-09-15 Micropump appears to have died 08-08-26 Memory stick filled up, cleared on 08-08-28 08-03-28 Memory stick filled up, cleared on 08-04-02 08-02-12 Tweaked LT inlet needle valve slightly to reduce total flow and try to even out the flow over the course of an LT measurement 08-02-07 Updated to new aircoa program (ascii dates) 08-01-26 Replaced 4 cal gases, unplugged line 2, replaced Li-820. Accidentally left sample MFM on sample purge valve exhaust. Ian fixed on 1/28. 08-01-01 Li-820 started reporting 1000 and -50, which indicates a failed source. System powered down on 08-01-06. ------------------------------ 2007: 07-12-06 Replaced failed micropump. Replaced both molecular sieves. 07-09-29 Lightning strike took out Prometheus. Replaced on 07-11-07, got internet working and cleared up memory stick on 07-11-09. 07-08-29 Memory stick filled up. Fixed and rebooted on 07-08-30 07-06-29 Memory stick filled up. Fixed and rebooted on 07-07-01 07-02-28 Memory stick filled up. Fixed and rebooted on 07-03-04 07-02-08 Network services restored. 07-01-11 At SPL 1800 LT, replaced cylinders, replaced pump to fix mismatched flows, recal'd Li820, and tuned. System still not on network, left running ~2200 GMT on 070112 07-01-05 Cylinders out, 14:30 Local, closed HS2, HS1, LS1, LS2 valves and left running with only LT (for comparison to Hg instrument) ------------------------------ 2006: 06-12-20 Wireless network shut down due to system work. 06-12-01 Communications failed 06-11-24. G. Hallar cycled power on AIRCOA and wireless router and communications restored. 06-11-16 Communications failed 06-11-14. G. Hallar cycled power on AIRCOA and wireless router and communications restored. 06-10-29 Memory stick filled up. Fixed and rebooted on 06-11-02 06-09-20 Fix high pressure leak. Zero and span Licor. Tune-up. 06-08-18 New LT (JJ18942). Found Line 3 Beswick filter plugged with black material. Replaced. Both mol sieves replaced to reduce RH. 06-03-02 Site visit, opened box and started work at 00:14 UTC on 3/3 - replaced 4 calibration cylinders, nafion #1, and did leak checking (high pressure leak of 0.08 kPa/min still not fixed). Tuned system and restarted ~ 21:05 UTC on 3/3. 06-02-02 Continuing efforts to unplug Line 3 and fix leaks. Success with Line 3 ice blockage. Replaced 3 um filters at inlets with 30 um polypropylene filters on all 3 lines Low pressure leak fixed by replacing HS2 solenoid High pressure leak reduced by working on both Nafions, but still a bit too high 06-02-01 Site visit to unplug Line 3, fix low and high pressure leaks. ------------------------------ 2005: 05-10-14 Second mol sieve spent, first one one third full. Replaced both. Replaced upstream Nafion, no change in humidity. Changed downstream Nafions, and humidity came back down to 2% over 1 day. Downstream Nafion was removed from FEF on 5/13 for a leak. High P leak check now 0.06 (dropping to 0.04 over several weeks. Low P leak check now 0.05 and climbing to 0.08 over several weeks suggesting a failing Numatech. 05-09-24 At around 1200 GMT, something in drying system failed and humidity climbed to around 7% RH over next several days. 05-09-01 Ran sample lines. Line 3 is on the south tower, Lines 1 and 2 on the north tower. 05-08-31 Installed AIRCOA D. Fixed pin on Humitter connector. Ran overnight sampling room air (sample lines not yet installed).
