Periods of S-Pol Operation

WISP04, NCAR Marshall Field Site
Feb/Mar/Apr 2004

WISP04 ran from the beginning of February, 2004, through the start of April. The addition of the Ka band system to S-Pol was part of a development project funded by the FAA. The development did not always proceed smoothly, and the weather did not cooperate for this project. There were many periods of system operation devoted to system tests, and other periods where forecasted weather did not materialize. Not all data collected will be worth reviewing. The periods of scientifically interesting data are listed. It is recommended that the "quicklook images" be reviewed to determine if usable data exist for a particular, narrower, time period.
