Weather: 12z launching saw spectacular cloud to ground lightning to the eastern horizon. By sunrise it was raining around the site. Finally at about 14:30 utc the thunderstorm rolled through the city giving us probably about 1mm of precip. The storm quickly passed and gave sunny skies the rest of the day

Successful launches. Had trouble at first of sending email of sounding data on Aspen during 26 July 0z launch, but the computer was rebooted and that seemed tofix the problem and so data might have been sent 3x
Last night the town was hit with a good isolated thundershower. Although it
looks like no precipitation was recorded by the iss station, the downtown
area and near our condos about 8km south of the iss definately had measureable
precip as there were a few puddles in the streets. Other than that it has
cleared out by morning and there are thunderstorm clouds building again to our
North and East in the afternoon
Instruments are working properly, the IR sensors were cleaned since they were
dirty from last nights precipitation
Went through our 9th He tank and have 19 remaining as shown below

Skies have had a few high clouds passing through. Cumulunibus clouds have
formed to the North and East. The main story here has been the strong gusty
winds from the gulf surge, especially during the 18z sounding. Winds have died a bit but are still currently at about 6-7 m/s
Today's soundings went well except for close calls of the sonde hitting a
structure during takeoff due to gusty winds.
We went through our 4rd He tank.

In the early morning hours (12z sounding) there was lightning to the far East
with maybe a trace of precipitation although nothing that was measurable, it was very humid and moist. Sunrise started with scattered cirrus clouds overhead,
which dissapeared in the afternoon. In the afternoon hours there were
cumulunimbus and cumulus clouds which formed to the North and East horizons.
Currently some of the cumulunimbus cloud tops from the East are moving westward towards our location.
Soundings have been going well so far, we went through our 3rd He tank.

The weather has been very hot and dry, with rh values currently at 21% and
dewpoint falling, this is shown by water vapor imagery. Skies have been clear
overhead throughout the day, with cumulus and cumulonimbus clouds on the North
and East horizons as the day progressed. Light sea breeze
The first 11 July 2004 0Z sounding failed due to no sattelite data or wind data,a second attempt was made and went sucessfull, other instruments are fine, we
went through our second Helium tank.
