Daily Report
Running system overnight (from around 22UT), Friday evening to Saturday morning (Oct 5 - 6) since there is some very light precip in the area.
We did get a little snow or grappel at the site, but only a trace - and just a couple of blips registered on the WXT.
Launched sounding around 0Z with Brian and students.
Saturday morning, still one or two very light flurries, but clearing.
Shutting down system (1415UT) and packing up for trip home.

Daily report for Thursday Oct 4
MISS ran last night watching a cold front come through.
Sounding last last at 6pm local, then another sounding at 9am local this morning.
Considerably cooler with low clouds, with westerly breeze, but no precip.
Steve heading back to Boulder, Bill arived last night.

System started approx 6pm local time. One sounding made. Rain experiments made by students with WXT. Met tower raised at approx 8:30pm local time. System will run over night unattened.

One sounding made at Tech High School. Sounding made on MISS rack for testing. Worked fine up above 90mb.

Continueing on to Tower Site for further operations.

Airport site next to ASOS.
Set up and operating at 21 UTC. RASS on.
Breezy afternoon; surface wind about 6 m/s from the north. Good profiler winds to start; fair RASS to 700m

Arrived and set up MISS early. Operations begun around 1330UTC
Soundings approx 1330, 1500, 1630, and 1800 UTC
Began RASS after 1500 because of neighbors.
Surface tower took several minutes to reach outside temperature after setup. Then very nice time series of morning warm-up.
First 3 soundings show surface inversion breakup. A good dataset for the class.
RASS progressively better through the morning.
Profiler winds poor - dry, cold, light winds.
Lost first sounding at 350 mb. sig at -82 dbm. changing out racks for second sounding.Second sounding made it to approx84 mb before it was terminated for third launch.
Conditions calm dry profiler seeing very little.
Four soundings made from town hall site.
