All data ingest on the ISS workstation is handled through the ingest module. When starting and stopping the iss system, it is the module which effectively starts and stops all of the other ingest modules. In particular, it controls the ingest scheduler process, the program which schedules, controls, and restarts the various ingest processes as needed. Its main configuration setting determines whether any ingesting is enabled at all:
Enable ingesting? (y/n) [y] |
If disabled, no other ingesting will run regardless of the individual module's configuration settings. Also, choosing n here will skip the configuration questions for the rest of the ingest modules.
